Realization of 10 innovation projects developed jointly by researchers (technology owner) and SMEs in Adriatic-Ionian region will be supported through the provision of innovation vouchers worth €18.500 each within OIS-AIR PoC Call.
The objective of Proof of Concept vouchers is to provide financial support to the successful conversion of good research into good business as well as to promote transnational cooperation in the field of innovation in the Adriatic-Ionian region.
Researchers based in this area already proposed their technologies, embedded in Agro-Bioeconomy, Transport & Mobility, Energy & Environment sectors, within the first PoC Call for Ideas phase. In total, 100 research proposals have been collected, and now SMEs are invited to get acquainted with published research proposals. The following step is the matching and the consequent collection of expressions of interest for the further development of the candidate technologies through the joint applied research project. Only the results/technologies candidates who have collected at least an expression of interest from a company will participate to the Call for Projects, which will be opened until September 30th.
Supported innovation projects will transform early stage technologies and patents from universities and research institutes into commercial applications through the co-development of prototypes/testing with established SMEs.
In order to apply, both researches and SMEs must be registered at OIS-AIR INNOVAIR Platform that is meant to support interaction among companies, entrepreneurs, businesses and researches at Adriatic Ionian Region.
A brief description of the candidate technologies are presented on INNOVAIR Platform (the processing is still ongoing), while more information about how to apply for joint projects, criteria for awarding innovation vouchers and eligible costs could be found at the following link.
Transnational applications to PoC Call will be positively evaluated to foster innovation network across borders in Adriatic Ionian area.
